Each university may link to its foliodirect offerings from its existing online technology catalogs. What your developers should know Some of your developers may have suspicions or concerns about foliodirect. Here are a few important points to convey to your developers. Your TTO remains in full control of the technology. You will determine when the technology is listed on foliodirect. You will also control the description, license and sales price. Likewise, you will continue to be your developers’ main point of contact for commercialization activities. Since you’ll have direct administrative access to your foliodirect storefront, the developers need not contact foliodirect themselves. Listing a technology on foliodirect will not interfere with other marketing/licensing efforts that are underway for the technology. Because foliodirect is a platform for non-exclusive licensing, you are free to pursue licenses through your own Web site or any other mechanism. foliodirect will provide broader exposure for your developers’ technology and research. Visitors can search the stores of all participating universities at the same time, you are likely to generate traffic that might not happen otherwise. You may also link with ease to your developers’ own Web sites from your foliodirect technology descriptions. Service Fees Activation Fee: Annual Fee: Please note that STC reserves the right to increase these fees in order to help offset foliodirect's ongoing maintenance and enhancement costs. We will notify our all participating universities at least 30 days prior to making a change. Transaction Fees Administrative Fee: Incremental Fee: Example Say you'd like to sell a software package on foliodirect for $200. STC would take an administrative fee of $20. Let's assume the merchant fees are 3%, or $6 in this case. Therefore, you'd receive $174 on each transaction: Price - Admininistrative Fee - Incremental Fee = Revenue Distributed to University $200 - $20 - $6 = $174 All participating universities must agree to these terms.
